Overview: this special tour is the outcome of 10 years’ travel experience and input from various guests and clients. The Experience Morocco by Air is a journey from “The real orient” which is the Berber city Marrakech, through an unforgettable adventure in the desert Sahara to the Majestic city Fes with its 1200 year of history.
Arrival: Day 1 Casablanca -> Marrakech
Your dedicated driver and guide will welcome you at the airport from where your journey and transfer to Marrakech will start. After an approx. 3 hour drive you will arrive at your royal *hotel.
The same day you will start with an Evening tour at the famous “Jamaa Elfna” square and enjoy the sunset from one of the oldest Rooftops. We will close the day with a special dinner with live show.
Day 2 Marrakech:
Berber tour experience: the Journey will begin with a visit to the YSL house and the botanic garden from 1925, followed by the museum Dar elBacha where you will have a nice coffee break.
Next is goiing to be cross-off-road of the caravvan in the medina. Walking through the streets and souks of the old Medina you will discover the most authentic side of Marrakech. During this excursion you will have e.g. the possibility to visit the berber rugs women organization or the house of 1500 Moroccan handcraft.
Afterwards you will enjoy the delicious Moroccan kitchen at the wonderful Riad of Howell James & Vanessan Bronson “RIAD EL FENN”.
You will close the day with a dinner at LA MAMOUNIA.
Day 3: Valey & Oasis Experience
The private jet transfer will be at 10am and will be a 2 hours flight to Errachidia.
The 4*4 Jeep will take you Snaking down through the dramatic Ziz Gorges from Rich, the Oued (River) Ziz brings to life the last southern valley of the Ziz and the Tafilalt oases before puttering out in the rose gold dunes of Merzouga.
Starting just south of the Middle Atlas town of Rich and about 30km north of Errachidia, the tremendous Ziz Gorges provides a rocky passage south through the Tunnel du Légionnaire (built by the French in 1928). To the south, the valley widens, presenting a spectacular sight: a dense canopy of palms wedged between ancient striated cliffs, which date to the Jurassic period. It’s worth taking some time here to explore the rich, untouristed palmeraies (palm groves).
Your camp for the night is located in the remote and idyllic sand dunes of Erg Chebbi. The WHITE CAMEL ACACIA Camp was built for you to experience the Sahara Desert like a true Berber nomad but with all the luxuries of an exclusive five-star lodge.
Day 4: Nomad experience
Wake up to a vibrant sunrise and the smell of fresh coffee, practice yoga on your private terrace, bake bread with the local Berbers, take a camel trek into the sunset, and sip champagne while watching the shooting stars passing through the night sky.
Day 5: Transfer Jet To Fes
You will spend the night in Riad Fes which is part of Relais & Châteaux. Established in 1954, Relais & Châteaux is an association of more than 580 landmark hotels and restaurants, operated by independent innkeepers, chefs, and owners who share a passion for their business and a desire for more authenticity in their relationship with their clientele.
Dinner is included on the first night.
Day 6: guided Tour
In this full day guided tour our experienced, friendly and knowledgeable guide will take you to the Jewish and Muslim historical sites of the Medina and Mellah of Fes. This will give you an impression of the connected Jewish and Muslim history in this unique UNESCO city. Comfortable shoes are recommended for this day as there will be a lot of walking up and down the hills of this Medina. But it will be worth it!
Day 7: Fes to Casablanca
The ride back to Casablanca is just over 3 hours.
We will be leaving early, after breakfast, which will give you enough time to arrive in time for the last guided morning tour of the Hassan II Mosque at 12pm. And finally you will visit the Museum of Moroccan Judaism after having a delicious lunch.
